This is an acrylic paper towel holder. It comes with a 1.50" thick solid acrylic base to give it some weight so when you pull off a paper towel it doesn't fly off the counter. The center rod is solid 1.50" thick clear acrylic. The base also comes with 4 bumpons to keep the unit from sliding on the counter. This unit is hand made here in the USA! . This is heavy duty, beautiful dispenser. It measures 13" tall and 7" diameter.
