Product Description The final step of any painting prep should be priming the surface before you paint. Some surfaces are slick and pose adhesion problems for paint; others, like new drywall, have varying porosities (they absorb at different rates across the surface. To seal the porosity of drywall and provide a uniform surface for paint use PVA primer. PVA stands for polyvinyl acetate, the resin system used in the primer. PVA drywall primer was designed for new drywall. This type of primer wets the surface of the wall very well and seals the surface too. It wets the surface of the wall better and is easier to re-coat.
