- HOT-DIPPED GALVANIZED, NOT ELECTRO-ZINC - Molten zinc coats the tapered face, the edges and the hole wall, giving the flat gray, slightly mottled surface you see in the photos, not bright plating.
- 1/4 IN TO 0.1 IN TAPER - Thickness tapers from 1/4 in at the thick end down to 0.1 in at the thin end across the 1.1 in face, which works out to roughly a 1 in 7 slope.
- 1.1 IN SQUARE, 1/2 IN (12.7 MM) BORE - Clears M12 rod with room; a 1/2 in bolt passes through at the tight end of its tolerance band; the square body resists spinning; measure your bolt first.
- SEATS BOLTS FLAT ON SLOPED STEEL - Levels the nut face on I-beam and channel flanges, machine bases, dock hardware and solar rail feet so load is not carried on one edge of the bolt head.
- 24 PIECES, WASHERS ONLY - Bolts and nuts sold separately; a shallower 5/32 in wedge version is also stocked. For structural bolting, confirm requirements with your project engineer.
